This piece has been selected by the North/South Consonance 2018–2019 Concert Call for Score, performed by pianist Max Lifchitz on February 10, 2019 at National Opera Center’s Placido Domingo Hall 330 Seventh Ave (7th FL), New York, NY.

This piano solo piece was inspired by Picasso's famous painting "Guernica". The painting reflects the cruelty of the war through miserable scenes of ruthless destruction and death. The composer exploits a style of aleatoric music to express people's horrors under the raging of the war. A chaotic mindset is induced by torturous pain, agonizing yelling, and desperate escape. In today's turbulent world, we are reminded once again the scourge and terror that the war could bring.
