This piece was world-premiered at the 4th Deng Yu-Hsien Memorial Concert in Chongli, Taiwan on March 31, 2007, performed by the National Normal University Music Department Orchestra with Prof. Jing-Shin Hsu conducting.

Program notes

This piece was a commissioned work by Ssu-Yu Huang (music) and Hsiao-Ji Lu (words). It is a symphonic poem containing various famous tunes by Mr. Deng Yu-Hsien (1906-1944). The words describe the life of the celebrated Hakka composer.
