My plugins/effects are not appearing or give me an out of memory message when I try to use them.

That error means that there is a problem with the way your effects are registed in Windows. Here's what I'd have you do:

1) Using Windows Explorer, locate your Windows\System folder or Windows\System32 folder in 2000/XP.

2) Locate the file REGSVR32.EXE, and leave that window open.

3) Choose Start | Find | Files or Folders.

4) Next to Names enter *.ax

5) Change Lookin to My Computer and hit the Find Now button.

6) Once it finds them, drag the files ontop of the regsrv32.exe file and drop them.

7) Then locate the Shared Plugins folder on your hard drive in the Cakewalk directory.

8) Drag each of the dll files in there onto the REGSRV32.exe file and drop them.

This should properly register the Cakewalk effects so that you can use them. If not, then re-install Cakewalk from the CD so that the effects can re-install.
