How can I lower latency so that there is less reaction time when using DXis and effects on input?

Under Options | Audio | General move the Mixing Latency Slider to the Left side and set the buffers to 2. Then, try it again. If you receive drop outs, then the setting is too low for your system. Try raising the slider until you can playback without dropouts/clicks. You may also have buffer settings in your audio card's software that you can adjust. The level that you can set you latency depends on the soundcard. Some soundcards can handle less buffering and therefore respond faster. Also, if there are WDM drivers available for your soundcard, install and use them.
