Due to the extremely large amount of portables on the
market, we can't be positive that your mp3 player is supported. Here's some
info about Pyro 2003 portable support:
1. Pyro only
supports MP3 portables that work with the Microsoft Windows Media Device
Manager (WMDM) standard. This is the same standard Windows Media Player uses to
communicate with portables.
2. If you are
wondering whether Pyro 2003 supports a particular portable, contact the
manufacturer and ask whether they support WMDM.
3. Note that for
Pyro to support a portable, you will usually need to also install the
management software that came with that portable. This will install the WMDM
driver component(s) that Pyro needs.
4. The latest
information on the portables that Pyro supports can be found at
http://www.cakewalk.com/Owners/Pyro2003/Portables/.
5. Please note that the latest trend as of mid-2002 seems to be portables that show up as USB drives -- meaning you plug the portable in and it simply shows up as a new drive you can browse to in Windows Explorer. In this case, Pyro's Portables view (and the "portables" feature of other products) is no longer necessary. Simply use Windows Explorer to transfer files between your hard drive and the portable.
