First get the latest GEAR driver:
ftp://downloads.gearsoftware.com/pub/updates/windows/win32/drivers/Driver_Installer.exe
Please go to www.windowsupdate.com and download all of the
critical and driver updates.
I'd like you to try uninstalling the software that came with
your burner as well as the CD burner's driver.
Go to your CD-RW drive manufacturer's web site and install
any driver updates available for your CD-RW. If there are any Firmware updates,
it is very important to install those also.
Now reinstall Pyro.
If this does not work, we can fix the problem to where your
CD Rom drives show up again. The easiest way to do this is with Windows System
Restore. You can revert Windows back before Pyro was installed. Or you can try this:
Open command box (or a DOS Prompt) by going to Start | Run
and type Command. Navigate to Pyro install directory, and type
"cdfilter.exe /remove". Then restart. This will remove the
GEARAspiWDM reg entry and restore CD drives. Alternatively, the user can also
find the above reg entry and remove "GEARAspiWDM" from the
UpperFilters value.
