I receive an crash when starting Cakewalk in MFC42.dll

Try this:

1) Choose Start | Run, and type regedit. Click OK.

2) Clicking the plus signs next to each folder, follow the path below:

(This path is for SONAR, if you are using another version of Cakewalk then substitute SONAR/1.0 with your program and version number)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Cakewalk Music Software/Cakewalk SONAR/1.0

3) Delete all folders labeled Toolbar. DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING ELSE!

4) Close the Registry Editor, and restart your computer.
